Having visited Nordburger on The Parade numerous times before & developing a huge burger crush on this place, as soon as I heard a new store was opening I HAD to check it out. The brand new store is on Port rd. in Hindmarsh & is a big change from their first tiny store.
This store is so spacious compared to their other store, with plenty of room to sit down & enjoy your meal. I love how it is set out with the wooden booths and cosy seating areas.
As well as the venue the menu has expanded with the addition of new burgers, FRIED CHICKEN & more dessert options other than just an ice-cream sandwich. Will definitely be back to try the Nutella Sundae *heart eyes*
I had tried the Nordburger before & although I wanted to opt for something different I just couldn’t say no. & I’m glad I didn’t because it did not disappoint. It features the classic burger combination of beef, pickles, lettuce, tomato, mustard, ketchup & nord sauce. The bun was soft, the meat was juicy & flavoursome & every bite was simply delicious. The burger was perhaps a little too saucy, but this is a very minor criticism considering I devoured it so quickly.
The Tater Tots were a little disappointing unfortunately. They were clearly over cooked and as a result the potato filling was almost non existent. Not as good as I had previously had which kind of sucked.
The Salted Caramel Milkshake was so yum! It had a beautiful caramel flavour without being overly sweet which is exactly what salted caramel should taste like. I would come back just for this shake TBH 🙂
My burger buddy ordered the Spicy Chicken Burger & Crinkle Cut Fries. The burger featured a crispy & succulent piece of chicken with jalapeños, slaw & spicy sauce. Unfortunately she underestimated the amount of heat this burger would have & struggled throughout. So beware, this burger sure does pack a punch! But it was still very delicious & if you are someone who can’t take this kind of heat then I’d suggest going for the Crispy Chicken burger instead 🙂
The Crinkle Cut Fries were great but could have been crispier & seasoned a little more, but I’m just being picky. I did eat quite a few of them myself so they clearly weren’t that bad 😛
Overall this Nordburger experience was a mixed bag of deliciousness & a little less deliciousness. The positives outweigh the negatives though & there is no doubt I will be back to try different options. Did I mention they have a NUTELLA SUNDAE?! Yeah I kind of like Nutella & need that in my belly ASAP.
There was also this very convenient area to wash your hands because we all know how messy burger eating can get. What a great idea. I just love this new store, kudos to you Nordburger!
Until next time x
